As we have just broken into a new year, what better time to switch things up in your home? The start of a new year is always the perfect opportunity for change. An upgrade to the decor and features within your home is a great change to make, and blinds can play a key part in this. 

With so many different styles of blinds available, we thought we’d tell you a little bit about the types we have on offer, and how they could be the perfect fit for your home…

Roller blinds

Sometimes, less is more, and with roller blinds this is certainly the case. Roller blinds are essentially made up of one plain piece of fabric to go across your windows. They look very simplistic, but can have a great impact on interior design, whether that’s by breaking up colour, or keeping a consistent, subtle theme. You can make roller blinds match your home no matter what colour schemes and overall design themes you may have, as you can pick the colour or pattern and have them made to measure for your windows.

Venetian blinds

Venetian blinds are a very common, homely style of blinds. One of the biggest attractions with this style, aside from the simplistic and neutral design, is the practical benefits. They are highly adjustable and easy control, and allow you complete control over things like privacy and natural light, by allowing you to adjust the slats in accordance to your preferences. 

Vertical blinds

Vertical blinds are ideal for big windows, and they are commonly used in rooms such as conservatories for this very reason. Conservatories are of course exposed to a lot of natural light as they are mostly built up of glass. Similarly to venetian blinds, you can adjust these so that you just let a bit of natural light in, or you can open the blinds fully so that you have a completely clear view out of the window. 

They are also very plain in design, making them compatible with any room. This is ideal for big windows or conservatories, as it will stop the room overheating in summer, but also keep it warmer throughout winter.

Pleated blinds

Pleated blinds are more of a design feature, and look particularly impressive when installed to any room. They are very stylish, modern and easy to clean, therefore also making them a practical choice. Furthermore, they can be folded away very neatly, and come in a variety of colours so that you can make sure they fit in with the existing colour scheme.

Roman blinds

Our made to measure roman blinds will add an element of luxury to your home. They are made of very high quality fabric which makes them appear quite elegant and stylish. They are also practical and allow the desired amount of privacy and natural light into your home.
