If there’s one thing that all of us share in common, it is that with everything we buy, we love to get good value for money. Good deals, reductions, and generally getting more for what we pay, are all things that we look for and want to get on board with. Making cost effective choices can be beneficial to you for a number of ways, and it can be applied in just about everything we buy. This includes household items and necessities, and one thing that we know a lot about, is blinds and curtains.

So, we wanted to share with you some of our most favourite, cost effective blinds that you can buy for your property, and tell you why we think these are a great choice to go with!

What are you looking for?

Buying anything for our homes can be a difficult process, but especially when it’s something as significant as blinds. Are you looking for something cheap and easily replaceable? Or how about something a little more high quality that provides exceptional value for money and has a longer lifespan? Knowing what you’re after is essential before you start shopping for blinds, in order to find the most cost effective option for you. Once you have decided exactly what it is you’re looking for, you can then narrow down your options and find something that will suit your home, and for a great price.

Value for money

Ultimately, you want to choose blinds with good value for money. As we said, this is all dependant on what you are actually looking for. However, we have listed some of our favourites below…

Vertical blinds

Vertical blinds are fairly cheap and are of an adequate quality. They are certainly worth the money you pay for them and are perfect if you’re looking for something that’s not too expensive, and are pretty plain and simple in the way they look as well as the way they function. Vertical  blinds provide great coverage, especially for places such as conservatory windows, however do still allow quite a bit of light through. They are easy to adjust and you can control how much they open or close. We would recommend vertical blinds if you want something on the cheaper end of the scale that still work well enough.

Roller blinds

Roller blinds are only slightly more expensive than vertical blinds. They are perhaps a little better quality, but also a bit more basic as they simply open or close fully, and there is no other way of adjusting them. The design and colour range with roller blinds is considerably larger, allowing you to choose the right fit for your home and its existing decor. They are easy to clean and keep out most light from outside. You are also only likely to need one roll of this type of blinds, potentially cutting your cost down further whilst providing great value.

Venetian blinds

Venetian blinds are a little more in the pricey range, and are more about quality and luxury. Despite this, they still don’t cost all that much money, and what you are paying for is certainly worth it. The material used is often a bit more sturdy and also well-designed. One of the winning features of venetian blinds is their practicality and how adjustable they are, which is ideal for both privacy purposes and controlling the light that comes into the room.

Roman blinds

Roman blinds are by far the most expensive of our choices. They provide a lot of high quality and are designed with the finest materials. Roman blinds also come in a lot of different designs, allowing you to explore and be creative. They can be around five times the cost of some of the other blinds we have listed, however they are a great investment for your home and add character and style. We would only recommend roman blinds if you are specifically looking for this kind of quality and luxury and are willing to use a large budget.
