As the owner of a B&B, you want your rooms to be as comfortable and homely as possible for your guests. This means creating a nice homely environment, which is done through interior decor and design. One element of decor that can make quite a big difference to this, is your choice of blinds or curtains. This can really impact the whole atmosphere and feel of the room. Furthermore, perhaps your B&B is in quite a scenic location, and you have nice views to show off. One of the most important things you want to ensure for your guests, is that they get a good night’s sleep. Quite often, people find it different to sleep well when they’re not in their own bed. So, this is why you want to create a comfortable and homely environment in your B&B. One thing we suggest is getting curtains with blackout lining, or blackout blinds, as this will completely block out all light from outside during the night. A lot of people like there to be complete darkness when they sleep, and getting blackout blinds or curtains with blackout lining is the best way to ensure this!

Velvet curtains

There are so many different types of curtains you can choose from in attempt to make your B&B feel more homely. However, one style that we recommend above all others, are velvet curtains. This material is perfect for blocking out noise and light, as well as keeping the room well insulated. They really help to create a cosy vibe and are great for practical reasons too. Furthermore, on appearance velvet curtains look rather classy and elegant, which is a good impression to make on your guests during their stay.

Roman blinds

For decorative purposes, roman blinds are a great style of blinds to have in your B&B. They are very commonly used in homes, which means they tend to give off quite a homely atmosphere in the room. Roman blinds come in all different colours and patterns, so that you can find something that will compliment your B&B perfectly as well as add character. They are fitted perfectly to your windows so always look neat and tidy, and this is also great for retaining heat during the colder months. 

Venetian blinds

Venetian blinds are very popular as well as stylish. They are quite simplistic in their appearance but can add a beautiful touch to the room. Venetian blinds are great for B&B’s, as they provide a lot of privacy which will as a result allow your guests to feel comfortable during their stay. Furthermore, they can be opened by tilting the slats so only a small amount of light enters the room and privacy is maintained, or they can be opened fully so that your guests can enjoy the view.
